Royal Portrush Golf Club-Dunluce Course
Meeting Point
Please arrive at ProShop at least 30minutes prior to tee time.
ROYAL PORTRUSH DUNLUCE COURSE, a 7,460 yard gem and the only golf club in Ireland to have hosted the British Open Championship. Host of the 2019 OPEN Championship. Don’t let the enrapturing scenery distract you, as straight driving is a must (ten holes bend left or right) and heavy rough is plentiful at one of the world’s greatest golfing venues. It has very few bunkers but frankly, it doesn’t need them. The course has enough natural hazards to wreck a card, not to mention the everpresent wind. The most spectacular parts of the course are down by the shore. The 5th (called “White Rocks”) is an absolute
stunner. It’s a short, downhill par-4 with a left to right dogleg. The elevated tee provides a platform to soak up the vista. The green is perched on the very edge of the course some 50 feet above the seashore. The 14th, called “Calamity Corner”, is a 210-yard par-3; a deep chasm to the right of the green makes it a nervous tee shot. Royal Portrush has been portrayed by many golfers as one of the most challenging courses in the world.
Price
Elite Caddy £60, Sr Caddy £50; plus gratuity. Walking course. Caddies should be requested in advance.

The championship PORTSTEWART GOLF CLUB STRAND COURSE is an exhilarating golf course set amidst imposing, gigantic sand dunes with panoramic views across the Atlantic mouth of Lough Foyle to the Inishowen peninsula beyond. The Strand is an incredibly challenging and thoroughly enjoyable golf course, with one of the best opening nine holes in golf. The 1st hole is an absolute stunner, one of golf’s most intimidating, a downhill 425-yard par-4. There is a plethora of great holes here at Portstewart Golf Club; especially memorable are two of the newer par-3s, the 3rd and the 6th. The 3rd is a challenging single shotter, measuring 207 yards, whilst the 6th, measuring a mere 150 yards with a plateau green, is a challeange and will stay in the mind for a long time. You are rewarded with a more easy-going back nine and wonderful views onto the River Bann. A real treat for any links golf enthusiast.

Royal County Down Golf Club
Meeting Point
Please arrive at ProShop at least 30 minutes prior to tee time.
One of the world’s most revered links, ROYAL COUNTY DOWN GOLF CLUB. Measuring more than 7,000 yards from the back tees, Royal County Down is a fantastic course, with one of the finest outward nine holes in golf. Factor in the ever-changing wind and you have as stern a test at any Open Championship venue. The constantly undulating layout will challenge every part of your game with tightish fairways, many grassy-topped pot bunkers and sloping, tricky greens every hole is a classic links test. In 1925, Harry Colt advised on improvements and the creation of the 4th and 9th holes became two of the most photographed holes in the world. A 486-yard par-4 on the 9th, is played from one side of a huge mound down to a fairway some 60 ft below and 260 yards from the tee. From the bottom of the slope the second shot is played over two bunkers to a raised green.

COUNTY LOUTH GOLF CLUB – BALTRAY. Located in the historic Boyne valley region on the East coast of Ireland, the award-winning golf club is extremely well located: 45 minutes from Dublin Airport and less than an hour from Dublin city centre.
Founded in 1892, our club is steeped in history and has attained a reputation for producing some of Ireland’s greatest golfers over the years. In 1938 Golf Architects, Tom Simpson and Molly Gourlay redesigned the course. A par 72, measuring 7,031 yards from the back tees, our championship links is known for providing one of the purest and fairest tests of links golf in the world.
For professional golfer and former Ryder Cup Captain Paul McGinley, this is his favourite links course in Ireland, remarking: “It’s just a great test. All the holes run in different directions, so you have a different exam paper on each hole”.
In 2004 and 2009 County Louth Golf Club hosted the European Tour’s Irish Open. On the latter occasion, the club was etched into Irish golfing history when it famously became the venue where 2019 Open Champion Shane Lowry won the Irish Open as an Amateur.

Jameson Golf Links
JAMESON GOLF LINKS, (formerly known as ‘Portmarnock Golf Links’) a classic championship links, designed by Masters Champion, Bernard Langer, set on 180 acres of classical links terrain. Considered fairly young opening for play in 1995 the course is natural, understated and honest. There is nothing showy about the design; the natural links land is used simply and effectively. The first 8 holes play across gently undulating ground with definition provided by varied grasses and pot bunkers.
Then, around the turn, a cluster of shaggy sand dunes provides a much more pronounced aspect. Elevated tees and greens, blind approaches and doglegs, not to mention typical links sea breezes, keep you thinking through every round. Newly renovated in 2023.
