Fancourt will officially be up and running in every direction by October so therefore the 25th Fancourt Amateur Open will now take place from Tuesday 6th to Sunday 11th October 2020…..we hope you can all “Bolt it” down here for the week and trust the dates are suitable….it’s time for a great week of golf and fun and the courses are in incredible condition!

Format of play is a 72 hole Medal Competition for A division Players (0 – 9 Handicap Index but course handicap will apply) and Individual Stableford for B Division Players (10 – 18 Handicap Index but course handicap will apply).  A practice round on Montagu or Outeniqua is also included. For those on the package and residing at Fancourt, you do have the option to book the Links on Monday 05th or Sunday 04th October and therefore arrange your flight times accordingly. If you would like to arrive on Monday 05th, special accommodation rates are available. Rates are indicated below.

  • Fancourt promises lightning fast greens and finely trimmed fairways throughout the event!
  • Amateurs entering with friends will definitely be paired together to ensure a really fun competitive time!
  • Daily prizes for 1st & 2nd in each division and overall prizes from 1st to 5th in each division will be awarded with trophies for the Winners (1st to 5th)  sponsored by Cutter & Buck, Tsogo Sun, Fancourt, Ernie Els Wines and Callaway
  • There is also a separate section for ladies with daily and overall prizes being awarded.
  • Entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, and priority will be given to amateurs on the package and participating in the full programme.
  • Please note that the Slope Handicap System applies for the day on the course to be played. Tournament Director reserves the right to adjust handicaps if necessary. Nomads handicap and scoring system will apply. Official handicap index must be presented at registration.

Those wanting to book for arrival Monday 05th October , the rate is R1,850 per person sharing or R2,900 single bed & breakfast. Green Fee cost for optional round at the Links R3,100 (including halfway house and caddies)
